Vacation in Greece with kids: Hotel or Villa
When choosing an option for vacation in Greece for families with kids, parents often ask themselves the question – to book a hotel or a villa? And more and more families choose rental properties seemed to suit much better. Let us see why.
- Accommodation. A house with several bedrooms is usually much cheaper than a hotel because you often don’t have the same facilities on site as a hotel.
- Meal. Having your own kitchen is very important when travelling with children. You can cook the food your child used to. It can be difficult to find porridge for breakfast or soup for lunch in a hotel. Meals can be prepared at any time, that is convenient for your child.
- Outside space. Villas and private houses are usually fenced, and children can be outside the house without much supervision. They can play safely in the garden while you read a book or watch a movie.
- Schedules. You do not have to worry if your baby wants to sleep at 8 pm, but the music in the hotel is blaring until midnight. And if the child wakes up at 6 am and sings songs, you can be sure that the neighbours from the next room will not complain. No one is disturbing anyone.
- Equipment for small children. The owners of the family-friendly villas are ready to provide everything you need for a holiday with small children. These include a baby cot, a high chair, a crib, a bottle warmer or a microwave.
- Security. In the current situation with COVID-19, everyone is trying to avoid large crowds, which is difficult to do in a hotel. Your children will be much safer playing in their own garden and swimming in the private pool.
I hope that next time you come to vacation in Greece with kids, it will be easy for you to choose where to stay – in a villa or in a hotel.
